Bhavani
Koodudurai is the meeting place of three
rivers. It is also known as Thiriveni
Sangamam. The three rivers are Saraswati
from the north, Cauvery from the south
and River Bhavani. It is an important
pilgrim centre in this area. Holy Bathing
at this spot is believed to remove all
sins. This holy water (Gayathri water)
is also believed to bless the childless
with children. There is a temple of
Sangameswarar on the banks of the river.
It is believed that Thirumal, Kubera,
Vyasa, Parasuram , and Viswamitra worshipped
here.
